Create a clutch bag: Make your own trendy asymmetric zip clutch bag with a contrast faux leather panel. You will learn how to insert a zipper using the sandwich method and how to construct the a lined bag, as well as tips on working with faux leather.
12.15 – 12.45 Chinelo Bally 
Freehand skirt: Learn how to  draft and construct a simple fitted skirt block using Chinelo’s freehand method. Chinelo will show how to take the measurements needed, how to project the measurements unto the fabric, darting and fitting. this interactive session will allow for questions during the demonstration.

Perfect Pockets: Jenniffer Taylor joins Natasha McCarty to talk about how to construct the perfect pocket. The Sewing Bee contestant will go through three styles of pockets, which will give any garment a practical and polished finish.

Jersey neckband techniques and top tips for a twin needle finish: Join the popular jersey sewing trend and learn simple techniques for inserting a neat looking neckband into your garments. Lauren will also show you how easy it is to set up a twin needle on your regular sewing machine for a professional looking finish

Finishing touches: A medley of techniques to give better finishes to garments; from different seam techniques, different seam finishes, invisible zip insertion, dart finishes, hem finishes and perfect hand sewn loops for hooks.
15.15 – 15.45 Sewing Quarter Introduces Jenniffer Taylor
Create a Blanket Gillet: From her inspiring first book, Girl With a Sewing Machine, Jenniffer Taylor will be demo-ing a Blanket Gillet in a modern waterfall design. Easy to wear and completely versatile, Jenniffer will be creating the garment for our live model, Sewing Quarter presenter Natasha McCarty, and explaining the perfect ways to measure the gillet to get a tailored fit.
