Jade Earley

Jade started sewing when she was 14 after she sustained a knee injury and could no longer be a competitive swimmer. Jade attended a 2 day sewing course at her local Sewing School and created herself a lace dress. After this Jade was totally hooked. Jade has attended regular sewing lessons since then and at 16 created her own Prom dress. Jade applied to The Great British Sewing Bee when she was 17 and successfully became the youngest ever sewer to appear on the show and went onto to be a finalist. “I now write a column for Love Sewing Magazine and am currently in the process of opening an on line shop and producing my own patterns,” said Jade. She has also been involved with The Knitting & Stitching shows giving well attended demonstrations and regularly hosts a Facebook Lively on her Facebook on a Sunday, “I am also campaigning to get more skills based activities into schools” she added. Jade has a great passion for sewing and certainly shows its cool to Sew.
