1. Will there be a 2018 Great British Sewing Bee Live show?

The Great British Sewing Bee Live show is produced by Upper Street Events – the company behind the much loved Knitting & Stitching shows and Festival of Quilts - in conjunction with TV production company Love Productions.


As the Great British Sewing Bee TV series has not been recommissioned, a decision was taking by Upper Street Events in conjunction with Love Productions to postpone the GBSB Live show for 2018.

2. What are the show opening hours?

The Show is open from 21st - 24th September 2017.


Opening hours are as follows:
Thursday - 10:00am - 5:30pm
Friday - 10:00am - 5:30pm
Saturday - 10:00am - 5:30pm
Sunday - 10:00am - 5:30pm

*Please note that some workshops start at 9:30am

3. I have booked a workshop at 9:30am, will I be able to access it?

If you make yourself known at the main entrance to the show you will be granted access to your workshop but will not be able to enter the show until 10:00am.

4. How do I get to the Show?

The show takes place at ExCel, London. The show can be easily reached by train, tube, bus, coach, plane or car. Click here for full details on how to get to the show.

5. Does the venue have a car park?

There is plenty of on-site parking (majority pay and display) at £15 for up to 24 hours. Find out more.

6. I am disabled, how do I access ExCel and where can I park?

There are 155 bays suitable for disabled drivers on-site across ExCeL's car parks. These are wide bays with minimum dimensions of 5.9m by 3.6m. Access to the building from these bays is along walkways with a gradient of no more than 1:15 and via flat entrance lifts with automatic doors.

All public entrances allow for access by wheel chair via low gradient ramps and an automatic door. Once inside the venue, all floors are level, offering unobstructed access. Find out more.

7. Can I hire a wheelchair at the Show?

ExCeL London is able to provide wheelchairs to those in need, free of charge. Wheelchairs can be hired from both the West and East information desks, however please note that we are unable to offer pre-booking. If you require a mobility scooter, these can be hired from our transport partner Europcar. Find out more.

8. I am accompanying somebody as a carer, do I have to purchase a ticket?

When accompanying somebody in the capacity of carer, your entry to the Show is free of charge. To request a carer ticket you can either click here and fill out the enquiry form at the bottom of the page or you can call 0844 581 1318



9. Am I allowed to bring my guide dog to the Show?

Yes, guide dogs are welcome at the Show.

10. Can I bring my children to the Show?

Yes, although we do not provide any child minding or creche facilities. If your child is under 5 their entry to the Show will be free, between the ages of 5 and 16 they will be entitled to a child ticket and after 18 they will need to purchase an adult ticket. 11. Where can I eat at the Show?

12. Is there a cloakroom at the show?

Yes, there is. The fee is £1 per item for coats and luggage - please be aware we cannot store cameras, laptop equipment or any other electronic devices.

13. Is there an ATM machine at the venue?

There are two Note ATMs near the west entrance of the venue by Costa and Panini Pronto, and another Note ATM in the centre of the boulevard between entrances S6 and N6. There are a Barclays and a Note ATM located on level 0 between N4 and S4. Should the in-venue ATMs run out of cash, there is also an ATM nearby at the Tesco Express.

15. Is my ticket day specific?

Tickets are day specific so please do give careful consideration when deciding what day to come.

16. I've bought a VIP ticket for the wrong day, what should I do?

Please contact the ticketing department on 0844 581 1318. Ticket swaps are subject to availability.

17. Can I buy workshop tickets in advance?

Yes, workshop tickets are sold in advance both online or by calling 0844 581 1318. Please follow this link for more Workshop information

Any remaining tickets will be sold at the show. Please note tickets are on a first come first served basis and are non-refundable.

18. I am now unable to come to the show, can I have a refund?

We are sorry, but tickets are non-refundable.
